I’ve got a two-fer post today since I never did get around to the potato tourte post last month (even though I did make it on time!). First up, though, the salmon sloppy joes.
Burgers Sloppy Joes
These were really quite tasty and when I removed the mixture from the fridge, I really thought they would remain soft, but cohesive, upon adding them to the pan. Well, they kind of fell apart–not completely, mind you…but enough that I just called them sloppy joes. I served them with some quick pickled onions and store-bought guac. Super tasty and that salmon mixture is really quite lovely. I think I’ll do as Mardi did next time and add some bread crumbs.
This was delicious! I remember being a bit worried about pouring in the cream, but it was like magic! I remember Dorie posting on IG about this recipe before the cookbook was published and marveling at that idea of pouring cream into the pie. YUM!
